Lovingly created by true Italian artisans, this block-printed linen tea towel comes from the Felicina range. The Felicina fern design is a new one, designed by Gianluigi Bertozzi, the grandson of Luigi. Look closely and you will see an exquisitely applied design, made up of ferns and with a true botanical edge. The gold and metallic colours are rich and vibrant. The fern pattern is carefully applied to the cloth by hand using Bertozzi wooden blocks, painstakingly carved from pear wood.
Hand-produced linen
The linen too is hand-produced, woven on traditional looms to produce a cloth that is soft, hard-wearing and organic. When the linen gets wet in use, simply hang it up and leave to dry. The product is such as the more you use it, the greater the beauty of the design and cloth grows. The linen is meant to be crumpled, giving a rustic look which is at the same time infinitely practical; no need to iron and completely machine washable. And you don’t need to worry about the stunning metallic fern design fading; because of the way in which it is applied, this will remain looking good throughout the life of the cloth.
An item to be treasured
You will also notice that no two tea towels are the same. This is deliberate and these variations in finish are the mark of a genuine hand-made item. Extra special and an item to be treasured, the block-printed linen tea towel from the Felicina fern range makes a perfect gift or treasured addition to your home.

Since 1920, the Bertozzi family have been creating the most wonderful hand-printed and hand-painted fabrics. Using traditional techniques, these master craftsmen hand-carve blocks of pear wood to produce the stamps they use to print their own designs onto the fabric. The rich and vibrant colours they create come from closely guarded family recipes that are passed from generation to generation.
Variations in finish or appearance are not considered imperfections, but are the mark of a unique handmade item.
