Why do you need copper cookware in your home?
Copper kitchen accessories are every interior designers' dream, and copper cookware is always a top-trending kitchen must-have. You'd be hard-pressed to find a homeware magazine that doesn't adorn its pages with images of gleaming copper pots and pans hanging from floating utensil racks. However, there are many benefits to copper cookware other than just how beautiful it looks in your kitchen.
Our artisanal copper cookware is worked over a fire, making it immensely durable and hard-wearing - perfect for cooking and baking. Compared to both stainless steel and cast iron cookware, copper has much greater thermal conductivity and heat retention. This allows your copper pan to heat up faster and maintain an even heat distribution across the cooking surface, avoiding messy hot spots and allowing you to achieve the same excellent standard of cooking whilst using less gas or electricity.
Moreover, copper is an essential trace mineral with a plethora of health benefits. By cooking with copper kitchenware, your food becomes lovingly infused with its mineral benefits, making copper cookware a healthy lifestyle choice as well as a kitchen centrepiece.
Whether you're looking for your next frying pan or saucepan, casserole pot or sauté pan, avoid disappointment by opting for copper cookware.
What makes ceramic cookware so special?
There are few better feelings than serving up your culinary masterpiece in a traditional Italian ceramic pot. Italy is renowned for its stunning ceramics, and it's not hard to see why. Much of our ceramic cookware is created using an age-old technique called coiling, in the heart of Italy's picturesque Casentino Valley and Marche region. Our gifted artisans use the finest hand-thrown Tuscan clay to produce ceramic cookware that is unrivalled in terms of its beauty, versatility, conductivity and durability.
Ceramic cookware is oven-safe, microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe, so you can enjoy all the benefits of cooking and baking with ceramic pans whether you're whipping up a tasty dish in the oven or waiting for the microwave to ding. What's more, ceramic is a virtually nonstick and very easy-to-clean material.
All the cookware in our ceramic range is made entirely from ceramic, not just metal with a ceramic coating. This means you can be sure that you're getting high-quality ceramic cookware that is scratch-resistant, non-reactive, non-stick, stain-resistant and eco-friendly.
Ceramic cookware can effortlessly transform your kitchen or dinner table from an uninspired display of pots, pans and utensils to a rustic, enchanting oasis that you will adore spending time cooking and socialising in. Whether you're cooking or baking, a culinary pro or a total beginner, ceramic cookware is perfect for creating tasty dishes that delight the senses and leave your dinner guests yearning for seconds.
Allora cookware is lovingly handcrafted by traditional Italian artisans
All of our copper and ceramic cookware is carefully handmade by some of Italy's finest artisans. Our exquisite copper cookware is hand-finished by the Tanucci family, who have been producing renowned cookware and utensils since 1790. The Tanucci family's gift for copper work has been passed down from generation to generation, resulting in charming pieces of copper cookware that stand the test of time and are a must-have for any kitchen.
Ceramiche Tapinassi craft our ceramic tableware and cookware using hand-thrown Tuscan clay, resulting in beautiful designs inspired by the picturesque Casentino Valley in which their traditional workshop resides. The talented Tapinassi brothers create all of AllÓRA's exclusive ceramic designs by hand using an age-old method called coiling. This involves layering long pieces of clay until the desired shape has been formed, before conducting the meticulous process of drying, finishing, sponging and then firing the clay. Finally, they enamel the clay ready to be decorated by hand.
The Ceramiche Bucci artisan house design and create the luxury pieces of ceramic stoneware you see at AllÓRA. Their unique ceramic cookware is created by glazing the ceramic with non-toxic enamels before firing it in extreme heat. Located in a historic, quintessentially Italian town called Pesaro, the ceramics workshop was founded in 1961 by Franco Bucci, one of Italy's most respected and admired ceramicists.
