That’s because the hemp linen used to craft this bath towel was hand-woven by master weavers more than 75 years ago. And recently, the master Italian artisans at Stamperia Bertozzi have handprinted the bocciolo design onto the ancient fabric.

The combination of this hand-weaving and hand-printing technique has resulted in a bath towel that is truly one of a kind. To hold this authentically Italian creation in your hand is to be taken back in time, while also giving you the unmatched quality that you would expect of first-class contemporary craftsmanship.

Since 1920, the Bertozzi family have been creating the most wonderful hand-printed and hand-painted fabrics. Using traditional techniques, these master artisans hand-carve blocks of pear wood to produce the stamps they use to print their own designs onto the fabric. The rich and vibrant colours they hand-mix come from closely guarded family recipes that are passed from generation to generation.

Variations in finish or appearance are not considered imperfections, but are the mark of a unique handmade item.
