To create these beautiful forms, Vetrofuso by Daniela Poletti soften glass over a flame before working it into shape using tweezers and tools. They then use the Venetian Murano a lume technique – blowing heated coloured glass into the clear glass to create details of unusual precision. By using the a lume technique, the artisan also gives this tea cup a lighter, more refined feel in the hand.

Variations in finish or appearance are not considered imperfections, but are the mark of a unique handmade item.
