Handmade Linen for a More Personal Bedroom

Bed linen has a strong influence on how a bedroom looks and feels. AllÓRA selects pieces that work as part of the room, using colour, pattern and natural texture to create a calm but characterful setting.

Our Italian bed linen collection includes:

  • Hand-painted duvet covers
  • Coordinating pillowcases and cushion covers
  • Complete linen bedding sets
  • Hand-printed and hand-painted throws
  • Quilts and decorative bed layers
  • Bespoke bedding made to individual requirements

Choose a coordinated set for a more unified look or mix individual designs with existing sheets, cushions and throws. Because much of the decoration is completed by hand, small variations in pattern and finish are part of the character of each piece.

Italian Craftsmanship by Stamperia Bertozzi

Much of the collection is created by Stamperia Bertozzi, the family-run textile workshop in Emilia-Romagna that has been producing hand-decorated fabrics since 1920.

Its artisans use traditional techniques including hand painting and block printing with stamps carved from pear wood. Colours are mixed in the workshop using family recipes, while historic motifs sit alongside more contemporary patterns.

Duvet Covers and Bedding Sets

A duvet cover is often the largest visual element in a bedroom, making it an easy place to introduce colour and pattern. AllÓRA’s hand-painted and hand-printed designs range from understated geometric motifs to botanical and coastal-inspired patterns.

Selected bedding is available in sizes from single to super king, with coordinating pillowcases and other pieces available across the collection. For bedrooms that need a different size, finish or combination, AllÓRA also offers a bespoke bed linen service.

The bespoke service allows you to work with natural base colours, printed designs and made-to-measure sizing to create bedding that fits both the bed and the wider room.

Why Choose Linen for Bedding?

Linen is valued for the balance between texture, breathability and durability. It has a naturally relaxed finish and becomes softer through use and washing, making it well suited to bedrooms that are designed to feel comfortable rather than overly styled.

Its breathable structure also makes linen useful throughout the year. The fabric allows air to circulate in warmer conditions while still providing a comfortable layer when temperatures fall.

Pillowcases, Cushions, Quilts and Throws

Italian bed linen is not limited to the duvet cover. Pillowcases, cushion covers, quilts and throws allow you to build layers of colour and texture without replacing an entire bedding set.

A hand-painted pillowcase can echo the main duvet design, while a linen throw can introduce contrast at the foot of the bed. Quilts add another tactile layer and can also work as decorative pieces when the bed is made.

AllÓRA’s linen throws and blankets include hand-painted, hand-printed and textured designs that can be used in the bedroom or elsewhere in the home.

Caring for Italian Bed Linen

Many pieces in the collection are machine washable, but care can vary according to the fabric, print technique and finish. Always check the individual product instructions before washing.

Using gentle care helps preserve the character of natural linen and hand-applied decoration. Linen does not need to look perfectly pressed. Its soft creases are part of the relaxed finish and become more appealing as the fabric is used.

Create a Bedroom With Italian Character

AllÓRA’s Italian bed linen brings together natural materials, traditional textile skills and contemporary design. Each piece offers a way to make the bedroom feel more personal, whether you choose a complete set, a hand-painted duvet cover or a single decorative layer.
